-
Who can sell bikes on TCS velocorner.ch?
Anyone in Switzerland who owns a bike – whether private sellers or retailers. -
What does it cost for private seller to sell a bike at TCS velocorner.ch?
The advertisement itself is free of charge. Only when we have found a suitable buyer for your item, we take a sales commission of 8% (max. CHF 275.-) of the selling price. After the transaction is confirmed, we transfer the proceeds to your bank account. -
What are the benefits for TCS members ?
As a TCS member, you benefit from exclusive advantages such as discounts on sales commissions and special offers. Detailed information on your benefits can be found in your TCS account or on our website under TCS member benefits. -
How does the selling process works?
To ensure security, all sellers must verify their identity. Your listing will only be posted online after successful verification. Interested buyers can reserve your bike with a 20% down payment of the sale price.
A meeting for viewing and a test ride will then be arranged. If the buyer decides to proceed with the purchase, they can confirm and pay through velocorner.ch.
The proceeds will be transferred to you within 3 to 4 business days. In the event of a reservation cancellation, the buyer will receive the down payment back, and your listing will go back online. For more information, visit TCS velocorner.ch under the "Sell" section. -
How long will my listing stay online?
After successful verification of your identity, your listing will remain online for 28 days. One day before it expires, you will receive an email allowing you to extend the listing for another 28 days. Without an extension, the listing becomes inactive but can be reactivated at any time through your profile. You can extend your listing as many times as you wish.

What should I do if I want to sell as a Retailer?
For bike shops: Contact us at [email protected].
We will connect you directly with our team, who will guide you through the process. -
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Verification is necessary to ensure the safety of all users. This increases your chances of selling and also helps prevent the trade of stolen bikes. This process helps us create a safe and trustworthy environment. A smartphone is required for this. Don't worry, your data is safe with us and will only be used for verification purposes. -
What if I don't have a smartphone?
No problem! You can send us a photo of your ID document via email at [email protected]. Note that email communication is not encrypted, so this is done at your own risk. -
Why is ID verification required?
On TCS velocorner.ch we prioritize trust and quality for both sellers and buyers. The verification process may seem involved, but it's a crucial step to ensure the integrity of our community.
We not only verify the authenticity of sellers and their listings, but we also perform checks on buyers once they express interest in a bicycle listed on our platform. This comprehensive verification process helps create a secure and reliable environment for all users, ultimately enhancing your overall experience.
Your peace of mind and the trustworthiness of our platform are our top priorities. -

What can I do if I receive the message: "Phone number is already in use"?
If your phone number is already in use, it means you have an existing account. Contact [email protected] with your name, phone number, and email address so we can locate your account. -
What should I do if I have a problem with password?
Use the “Forgot your password?” feature on the login page to request a new password. -
How many bikes can I sell?
You can list and sell up to four bikes at the same time. -
Why shouldn't I advertise my bike somewhere else?
All bikes offered on Velocorner should actually be available. If you would also offer your bike elsewhere, we would have a lot of "dead advertising".
We do not want that. And it is not necessary that you advertise your bike directly on another platform. We do that for you. But sharing Velocorner links on social media is not only allowed, but desired. -
Why do I have to give the frame number?
We employ a rigorous verification process to ensure the authenticity and reliability of all bikes listed on our platform. This process involves examining official documents such as receipts and buying contracts, as well as verifying the frame number provided for bikes.
Frame numbers serve as a reliable and secure means of checking whether the bicycle has ever been reported as stolen. -
What if the bike I sell has been stolen?
Don't panic. If we recognize that your bike has been reported stolen, we will inform you and advise you on how to proceed. -
What happens if I give false information?
Incorrect information, especially regarding the frame number, is taken very seriously.
In the case of fraud, we may ask you to undo the sale and return the bike. Please make sure all information is accurate. -
What should I do if I can't find my ad?
Make sure all required information has been filled out and that you are logged in with the correct account. If you encounter any issues, contact [email protected].
Selling Process
-
What happens if my bike has been reserved?
The interested buyer has made a 20% down payment, granting them a right of first refusal on your bike. Arrange an appointment with the interested buyer for them to inspect the bike more closely and then decide whether to purchase it or cancel the reservation. -
How long is the bike reserved?
The reservation is flexible and usually lasts between 5 and 10 days, up to a maximum of 14 days. We coordinate the deadlines with both parties. -
What happens if the customer doesn’t show up for the appointment?
If the customer does not show up, we will cancel the reservation, refund the amount, and reactivate your listing. -
What should I do if the buyer decides not to purchase the bike?
Ask the interested buyer to cancel the reservation through their profile or the link in the confirmation email so that we can make your bike available again. -
Do I need to deliver the bike somewhere?
The decision to ship the bike is up to you. TCS velocorner does not arrange deliveries for private sellers. Clarify in advance who will cover the shipping costs and require full payment before shipping. -
What are the most important steps when handing over my bike to the new owner?
Make sure the buyer confirms the handover on-site in their profile or through the reservation email. Only after they have paid you the remaining amount via the website or in cash should you hand over the bike. If the buyer pays through the website, you will receive an immediate confirmation from us.
Payments
-
How will I be paid?
After the sale is completed, we will transfer the money directly to your bank account. If you haven't done so already, please enter your bank details in your profile on velocorner.ch. -
When will I receive the money?
After the bike is handed over and confirmed by the buyer, the payment will be released by us. The transfer usually takes 3 to 4 business days. -
What should I do if I have handed over the bike but haven’t received my money?
Contact us immediately via chat, email, or phone. It’s important to hand over the bike only after the purchase confirmation. -
Can I be paid cash?
While cash payment for the remaining balance is technically possible, we strongly discourage it. Online payments are much safer and protect you from potential risks.
