The Tallboy has always been Santa Cruz's short-travel trail bike with a sporty ambition, and the latest generation raises the bar: slimmer, lighter, and with more reserves for rough terrain. Santa Cruz deliberately positions it between categories, leaning more towards cross-country trail: light and efficient uphill, but with noticeably more reserves downhill than a pure XC bike. The newly designed CC carbon frame with a four-bar linkage rear end brakes significantly cleaner and responds more sensitively than its predecessor.
The RockShox Pike Select fork with 140 mm of travel and the RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock with 130 mm of rear travel tune the suspension for fast, playful riding. Shifting is done with the mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 transmission, whose robust construction is designed for long durability rather than maintenance effort. SRAM DB8 brakes with 200/180 mm rotors provide reliable stopping power, while Reserve 30|TR aluminum wheels with DT Swiss 370 hubs and Maxxis Forekaster tires in 29x2.4 inches deliver grip on any trail. A Glovebox storage compartment in the downtube, a Geo-Flip-Chip, and a lifetime warranty including bearings complete the package.
A trail bike for everyone who wants to be light and fast without hitting their limits on rough terrain.
