The Demo Race stands for maximum speed on the most challenging downhill tracks. The new frame design allows you to choose between a 29-inch or a 27.5-inch rear wheel. Although Loïc Bruni clinched both the World Championship and overall victory in the very first season of the new Demo with a full 29er setup, he has since been experimenting with mullet setups in search of the perfect balance between grip and agility, leaving competitors in his dust on the track.
Now, you can also get the Demo Race out of the box in a mullet setup. The FlipChip on the chainstay allows you to switch between 27.5 and 29-inch rear wheels depending on the terrain and your riding style. It also adjusts the length of the chainstays and the height of the bottom bracket.
In order to ensure you are not held back on the toughest tracks, our engineers have developed a special suspension system. Thanks to the rear axle's rearward path in the upper travel, the rear wheel can lift over curb-like obstacles instead of getting hung up on them. This allows you to gain those crucial seconds.
The World Cup-tested kinematics are supported by high-end suspension components from Öhlins while the X01 drivetrain from SRAM, specifically designed for downhillers, allows you to shift gears securely and quickly from the start to the finish line.
