The Demo Race is designed for maximum speed on the most challenging downhill tracks. The new frame design allows you to choose between a 29-inch or a 27.5-inch rear wheel. Although Loïc Bruni secured both the World Championship and the overall victory in the very first season of the new Demo with a full 29-inch setup, he has since been testing mullet setups in search of the perfect balance between grip and agility, leaving plenty of dust behind for the competition.
Starting now, you can also receive the Demo Race directly from the box in a mullet setup. The flip chip on the chainstay enables you to switch between 27.5 and 29-inch rear wheels based on the terrain and your riding style. It also adjusts the chainstay length and bottom bracket height.
To ensure you are not hindered on the most difficult tracks, our engineers have developed a special suspension system. The rear axle's rearward path during the upper travel allows the rear wheel to rise over curb-like obstacles instead of getting hung up, enabling you to gain those crucial seconds.
The World Cup-tested kinematics are supported by high-end suspension elements from Öhlins, while you shift quickly and confidently with the X01 drivetrain from SRAM, specifically designed for downhill racing.
The M5 alloy frame of the Demo Race is fully optimized to harness the traction advantages of a 29-inch front wheel and the increased maneuverability of a 27.5-inch rear wheel. Prefer a full 29 setup or need a larger rear wheel for the next track? No problem. The flip chip on the chainstay lets you switch between both wheel sizes while simultaneously adjusting the chainstay length and bottom bracket height.
The Öhlins TTX22 M.2 coil shock has been designed for the toughest downhill World Cup tracks. Low and high-speed compression damping, as well as rebound damping, can be independently adjusted. The trunnion mount also protects the bushings and significantly enhances their durability.
