Does your dream trekking bike really fit?
On many listings, the size calculator works out the frame size for that exact model. It also takes riding style, inseam and arm length into account.

What matters with a trekking & city bike
Diamond, mixte, step-through
With a diamond frame, frame height matters most. Mixte and step-through frames are more forgiving, and the smaller size is often more comfortable.
Upright riding position
For everyday riding you sit more upright than on a road bike. An adjustable stem helps you set the handlebar height.
Riding with luggage
On tours with panniers, a frame that fits and isn't too small gives more stability. Make sure your heels clear the rear panniers.
