Each aluminum tube has been specifically shaped for its position within the frame and features varying wall thicknesses. PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel, with its 110 mm rear suspension travel in the Ride Dynamics Tune, shares a lineage with the Epic 8, our racing machine for the World Cup. It boasts performance features such as advanced kinematics, the suspension with Ride Dynamics Tune, and the progressive geometry fine-tuned for World Cup standard. The Chisel easily navigates diverse terrain and instills confidence in riders. POWER METAL: The Chisel impresses with incredible efficiency while pedaling, courtesy of the geometry and kinematics derived from our World Cup-winning Epic 8. This makes it the most efficient fully suspended aluminum XC bike. The steep seat angle positions riders centrally for optimal power transfer, and the refined anti-squat minimizes pedal kickback. Every watt at the pedals translates into maximum acceleration. GROOVE METAL: The Chisel features flexible stays to maximize suspension performance. This, along with the D’Aluisio Smartweld design, significantly reduces the maintenance required for the rear triangle. Extensive field and lab tests have confirmed that the Chisel achieves what was previously thought impossible. While flexible stays were primarily reserved for carbon bikes, the Chisel stands out with its uniquely shaped aluminum in terms of efficiency, control, and low weight. NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel showcases a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the pivot point of the rocker, the main pivot point, and, innovatively, the bottom bracket shell. By doing so, we save on both material and weight, compared to traditional bikes where pivot points and bottom bracket shells are welded onto the seat tube.
