The Chisel Comp is the lightest and fastest full-suspension cross-country bike ever created. It is 18.4% lighter than its closest competitor and delivers remarkably intense performance. Thanks to the advanced kinematics and geometry of the Epic 8, combined with the innovative D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can push their limits on Speed Metal or simply enjoy an incredible time on their home trails.
SPEED METAL: D’Aluisio Smartweld not only contributes to the Chisel’s lightweight design but also provides unmatched handling and ride quality. Each aluminum tube is uniquely shaped for its position within the frame and features varying wall thicknesses. This allows for a strategic balance of stiffness and compliance, enhancing efficiency, comfort, and control.
PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: With 110mm of rear suspension travel tuned for ride dynamics, the Chisel is related to the Epic 8, our racing machine for the World Cup. It shares performance features like advanced kinematics, ride dynamics-tuned suspension, and progressive geometry finely tuned for the World Cup. The Chisel effortlessly handles diverse terrains, instilling confidence in riders.
POWER METAL: The Chisel impresses with incredible pedaling efficiency thanks to the geometry and kinematics of our World Cup-winning Epic 8. This makes it the most efficient full-suspension XC bike made from aluminum. The steep seat angle positions riders centrally for optimal power transfer, while the refined anti-squat design minimizes pedal kickback. The Chisel converts every watt at the pedals into maximum acceleration.
GROOVE METAL: We equipped the Chisel with flexible stays to maximize suspension performance. This, along with the D’Aluisio Smartweld design's weight savings, significantly reduces rear maintenance efforts. Extensive field and lab tests have shown that the Chisel achieves what was once thought impossible. While flexible stays were traditionally reserved for carbon bikes, the Chisel's specially shaped aluminum competes effortlessly in terms of efficiency, control, and weight.
NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel features a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the pivot point of the rocker, the main pivot, and, innovatively, the bottom bracket shell. This design reduces additional material and weight compared to traditional bikes where pivot points and bottom bracket shells are welded onto the seat tube.
