I’m parting ways with my top bike, as I have less time to ride since becoming a dad, and the Spindrift feels like too much bike for me. I’ve switched to a Hugene. I bought the Spindrift in 2021 because my Canyon had two frame breaks at that time (on basic trails, I was riding very reasonably), and the Spindrift just had 1kg more carbon in the frame, and I wanted a bike that wouldn’t give me any problems throughout the entire pandemic. The reviews were all excellent, so I jumped on it, even though it was actually too much bike for me. I never took it to the bike park; I mostly rode trails. However, I quickly realized that the 180mm of travel was too much for my riding style. The bike is fully wrapped and in top-top-top condition. I’ve never had a crash with it. The old shock always gave me problems and was replaced this fall by Fox, and it has no kilometers on it. The dropper post (175mm) acts up a bit in cold temperatures and doesn’t come up perfectly, but it never bothered me, and I didn’t take any action against it. In the summer, it was never a problem. The bike is equipped with absolutely top-notch components.
