The Chisel Comp is the lightest and fastest full-suspension cross-country bike ever made. It weighs 18.4% less than the nearest competitor and delivers impressive performance. Thanks to the advanced kinematics and geometry of the Epic 8, combined with the innovative D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can either push their limits on speed courses or simply enjoy an excellent time on their local trails.
SPEED METAL: D’Aluisio Smartweld gives the Chisel not only its lightweight design but also unparalleled handling and ride quality. Each aluminum tube is uniquely shaped for its position within the frame and features varying wall thicknesses. This allows us to strategically optimize stiffness and compliance for efficiency, comfort, and control.
PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel, with 110 mm rear wheel travel in the Ride Dynamics Tune, is related to the Epic 8, our racing machine for the World Cup. It shares performance features such as advanced kinematics, Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, and progressive geometry crafted for the World Cup. The Chisel effortlessly navigates diverse terrains, instilling confidence for riders to excel.
POWER METAL: The Chisel astonishes with remarkable pedaling efficiency, thanks to the geometry and kinematics adopted from our World Cup-winning Epic 8. This makes it the most efficient full-suspension aluminum XC bike available. The steep seat angle centralizes the rider for optimal power transfer, while the perfected anti-squat reduces pedal feedback. Every watt at the pedals translates into maximum acceleration.
GROOVE METAL: We have equipped the Chisel with flexible stays for maximum suspension performance. This, along with the D’Aluisio Smartweld design that achieves weight savings, significantly reduces the maintenance needs of the rear end. Extensive field and lab tests have shown that the Chisel accomplishes the seemingly impossible. While flex stays have been traditionally reserved for carbon bikes, the Chisel, with its uniquely shaped aluminum, matches them in efficiency, control, and lightweight performance.
NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel features a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the pivot point of the linkage, the main pivot point, and, innovatively, the bottom bracket shell. This design saves additional material and weight compared to a traditional bike, where pivots and bottom bracket shells are welded onto the seat tube.
