For example, the Stumpjumper 15 with 145 mm rear travel and our enduro with 170 mm both use 101 mm of travel to absorb an impact force of 1080 N. MORE TRACTION: Extensive lab and trail tests have also shown that the Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE has 57% better traction characteristics compared to a conventional air-sprung shock. Our new GENIE technology offers you the smooth performance of a steel spring, which, on average, provides more rear wheel contact with the ground than a standard air-sprung shock. Your forces are better transmitted, giving you simply more control. LESS BOTTOM-OUTS: The harder the hits, the more the "silent reserve" of GENIE unleashes its full potential: In the last 30% of the travel, the damping resistance increases progressively – thus reducing the potential frequency and intensity of bottom-outs. PROGRESSIVE TRAIL GEOMETRY: The geometry of this bike delivers big bike virtues on demand, a feather-light, agile steering feel in tight sections, and an extremely efficient climbing behavior. The central, spacious cockpit centers the rider for optimal traction and cornering control.
