Classic Bikes Fixie
A "fixie" is a bike designed for fixed gear, which means that the rear wheel turns whenever the pedals turn. It does not have a freewheel hub, which means that there is no way to rest and roll while the bike is moving.

Frame material
Steel frames are very popular with fixie riders. They are known for their durability, strength and comfortable ride. Steel frames absorb vibrations well and offer a comfortable ride, especially on uneven roads. They are also a fairly inexpensive frame option. Aluminium frames are lighter than steel frames but still offer good rigidity and responsiveness. They are a popular choice for riders looking for a light and agile bike. Carbon frames are the lightest and stiffest frame options for fixie bikes. They offer excellent performance and efficient power transfer, resulting in a fast and responsive ride. However, they are also the most expensive option. Titanium frames are rather rare, but an attractive option for some fixie riders. Titanium frames are lightweight, durable and corrosion resistant. They offer a smooth ride and high strength, but they are also very expensive and not as widely available as steel, aluminium or carbon frames.
Chassis
On fixie bikes, there is no conventional "suspension" in the sense of suspension components as found on mountain bikes or even some city and trekking bikes. Fixies are generally minimalist in design and, due to their specific construction, they often do without suspension forks, shocks or other suspension elements. It is important to note that fixies are often intended for use in urban environments, where roads are usually smoother than off-road. Therefore, a full suspension system is not necessarily required.
Wheels
Wheel size can vary depending on the bike model and intended use. Typical sizes range from 26 to 29 inches in diameter. The choice of size depends in particular on personal preference. The rims of a fixie bike can be made of different materials such as aluminium alloys or carbon. They should be stable, light and durable. The choice of rims often depends on personal preference, riding style and budget. In addition, high-quality stainless steel or aluminium spokes are very important for the strength and reliability of a fixie's wheels.
Tyres
The tyres play a decisive role in the riding comfort, traction and rolling resistance of the fixie. Wider tyres generally offer more comfort and grip, while narrower tyres can enable a faster ride. The choice of tyres depends above all on the preferred riding style and riding conditions.
Brakes
There are different options for brakes on fixie bikes. Front and rear brakes are the most traditional option for fixie bikes. They can include both rim brakes and disc brakes. These brakes provide good stopping power and control by acting directly on the rims or discs of the wheels. Some fixie bikes have a special rear wheel fixie brake installed. This brake is directly connected to the fixed gear and allows the rider to lock the rear wheel by pedalling backwards. Combined brakes are also available for some fixie bikes. These include a combination of front and rear brakes. This option offers the rider more flexibility and control over the speed and braking behaviour of the bike. The choice of braking system for a fixie bike depends on personal preference and riding style. Some riders prefer the simplicity and traditional look of front and rear brakes, while others prefer the minimalist aesthetics and direct connection to the fixed gear of a rear wheel fixie brake.
