Ventilation is ensured inside the helmet by strategically placed air vents. The outer shell is robust due to its triple-wall construction. It is lightweight thanks to the in-mold manufacturing process, which fuses the outer shell with the expanded polystyrene shock absorber. Optimal shock absorption is provided by high-impact polystyrene made up of microscopic air chambers. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the polycarbonate Edge Protect shell.
