Rider details

Body height: 173 | Bike size too small
I bought the racing bike used in August 2026 and rode it for just under 250km. It is a sporty model with very good components. For the last 11 years, I have been riding a racing bike with a significantly larger (58cm) frame. The transition to the Orbea Orca did not go as well as I had hoped. The disc brakes provided a great sense of security during downhill rides, and it was a very nice feeling to ride down the mountains. I was able to fine-tune the electronic shifting quite well using the app, and it responded quickly. For me, the frame was a bit too small. Going from the accustomed 58cm (actually quite too large) to 54cm is a bit too big of a change for the riding experience. Since I only bought the bike in August, I have only replaced the batteries of the shifting system. Otherwise, I just cleaned the bike and re-lubricated the components.
