I am selling this Trek Farley 24, a true miniature "monster" designed to go anywhere: mud, sand, roots, and even snow. It’s a high-end bike, very robust, with a lightweight and responsive Alpha Gold aluminum frame in its flashy green color ("Radioactive Green") that really pops on the trail. In terms of equipment, we are serious: Shimano Alivio 1x9 speed transmission (simple and effective for kids) and disc brakes that ensure powerful braking in all circumstances. Honest condition report (please read carefully): I know this bike well and I want to be completely transparent about its condition to avoid any surprises: The front rim: This is the most important point. As seen in the photos, the side of the front rim is bent due to an impact. Even though the bike still rides as is for casual use, the rim is marked and will need to be replaced if you plan on doing some serious off-road riding. This is something to consider to get the bike back to 100%. The transmission: The bash guard on top is broken. This doesn’t prevent riding, but the chainring is less protected. The rear cassette shows greasy dust and superficial rust marks; a good degreasing followed by careful oiling will restore its flexibility. Aesthetic: A few signs of use, notably a small paint chip on the top tube near the "Farley 24" logo, but nothing that affects the frame's sturdiness. The major strong point: The tires are in exceptional condition. The treads are almost new and show hardly any wear, which is a huge advantage considering the price of tires of this size! In summary: This is an exceptional bike base that still has a lot to offer. With a front rim replacement and a good cleaning of the transmission, your child will have a high-end mountain bike ready for all kinds of adventures.
