In 1973, at the age of 20, Fritz Egli took over the bicycle shop "Hügli" located at Kesselstrass 6 in Frauenfeld. Since this acquisition, the business has continuously grown. In 1980, the company became an official dealer for the YAMAHA brand. At the same time, the workshop was expanded with an annex. The motorcycle department was closed in 2022. A comprehensive renovation and modernization of the sales area followed in 1990. In 2013, the previous storage shed was replaced by a completely new building for the bicycle department. During the opening of the new building, Fritz Egli handed over the management to his son, Simon Egli. Today, the team at Egli Bikes represents bicycle brands such as CRESTA, BIXS, SANTA CRUZ, BERGSTROM, and GIANT. Competent, courteous, and personal advice are the great strengths of this family business.
