The new electronic Shimano XTR Di2 is ready to revolutionize shifting on the MTB. It is the first MTB shifting system that changes gears with unprecedented precision at the push of a button. The strengths of the electronic shifting include fast, accurate, and smooth gear changes activated by button presses. This capability is effective not only in nice weather but also under extreme conditions such as heavy rain, mud, and snow. Programmable shift layouts and the new unique Synchro-Shift are additional advantages of the electric shifting system. The wiring is almost maintenance-free compared to traditional shift cables and also ensures a clean, innovative cockpit design. Synchro-Shift allows shifting with just one switch: changing the chainrings in the front and the cassette in the back with only one switch. Intelligent technology automatically ensures the most efficient chainring/cog combination. There are two different tested shift layouts to choose from. Switching between these or manual shifting is possible anytime, even while riding. Of course, personal settings can also be programmed.
