Shimano's advanced brake levers with Saint ICE Technologies feature shorter, more ergonomic grips that allow for tool-free grip adjustment and an adjustable pressure point for ultra-customization. The disc brake system includes a caliper with opposing double pistons. The front pistons have a different diameter than the rear ones. The system uses a force transfer technique where the smaller pistons grip the incoming disc while the stronger, larger pistons grip the outgoing disc. This reduces the wobble of the brake disc and makes the brake noticeably quieter. The four-piston caliper increases the contact area with the brake disc while remaining compact. The position of the pads is precisely calibrated to stabilize pressure. Additionally, when combined with the SERVO WAVE brake lever, it achieves an incredible 50% more braking power than the previous model. The advanced SAINT/ZEE disc brake system can be adapted to the rider's braking habits and generates a smooth, excellently controllable braking force.
