Barefoot Pedal These pedals are wonderful for biking barefoot. When you stand up, the spikes dig into your feet enough to provide good grip but not so much that it hurts or causes injuries. Even with some sweat or rain, the grip remains. I previously had sandpaper pedals ("MOTO Reflex Pedal," which are considered barefoot pedals) that left my feet bloody. These Shimanos do not do that.
