The Schwalbe Tube No.17, also referred to as SV17, AV17, or DV17, fits 28" (or 27"– 609/630) tires with a width of 28-47 mm and is used in touring, city, and trekking bicycles.

Due to their excellent manufacturing, Schwalbe tubes have proven themselves in the market for years. They have consistent wall thickness and are round in shape. Their precise alignment makes them durable at the seam. A comparative test revealed that the Schwalbe tube maintains air pressure significantly longer than other tubes (the latter lost nearly twice as much air pressure as the Schwalbe tube within 30 days). A possible reason for this could be a lower butyl content in the other tubes. The unique quality of Schwalbe tubes arises from the uniqueness of their rubber compound. To ensure this high quality, each individual Schwalbe tube is inflated and tested for at least 24 hours before leaving the factory.
