Product Description
The Schwalbe Racing Ray Evo Super Ground folding tire is a true front wheel specialist with an extra aggressive XC profile. The staggered center knobs allow for precise steering and reliable cornering even at the limits. The sturdy shoulder blocks provide high braking performance. The rolling resistance is low, and the rolling behavior is quiet. The lightweight Super Ground version is designed for technical riding. The additional bead-to-bead fabric offers improved protection against cuts. You will achieve particularly good performance when you combine the Racing Ray on the front wheel with the Schwalbe Racing Ralph on the rear wheel.

Light rolling and direct cornering behavior This review is about the Racing Ray 29x2.35 SuperGround Speedgrip. Previously, I rode on the Rocket Ron for an entire season and was satisfied with it. When I needed to replace the tire, I wanted to try something new again. So now I'm using the Racing Ray on the front wheel. I've noticed that it rolls quieter and indeed has less rolling resistance. I had to get used to it at first from a riding perspective. Especially at the entry to corners, it feels more direct. I would generally describe the grip as comparable to the Rocket Ron, both for braking traction and corner stability. That means it's good on solid ground (dirt and grass), certainly on paved surfaces, and it also performs well on loose gravel. In mud and over wet roots, however, a feather-light touch is required.

I have more grip at the front with the Race than with the Ground. Therefore, I will not purchase this again.

Very satisfied I switched from Rocket Ron to Racing Ray. 29x2.35 Superground / Speedgripp I have the tire on the front wheel and I unexpectedly have a lot of grip. The tire provides a feeling of safety. I ride the tire with Aerothan tubes at 1.2 bar. On the rear wheel, I have the Racing Ralph Superground / Speed. This tire is definitely the weakest link on the bike now. Because of the safety on the front wheel, you naturally ride faster and then realize that the Ralph is reaching its limits. Ray is a good choice; reconsider the combination with Ralph.
