too short a little bit too short, i wanted to use it for keeping my pants away from the bike chain but it doesnt really serve this purpose, otherwise all good

You get what you pay for The clip isn't long enough to enclose heavy winter wear, and not stiff enough to keep the hem of your pants in place for long. It's probably better put to use simply as a reflector, wrapping it around an arm, a handlebar, or the bike rack.
