Tip: Ensure a clean and lubricated clamp connection during installation to avoid cracking noises.
WARNING – Special conditions and requirements apply for installation on a speed pedelec. Therefore, we strongly recommend having the conversion to a fast e-bike carried out by a professional workshop!

2. Is the seatpost suitable for e-bikes?
Yes, the PM-705N has a Safety Level 5 and is approved for e-bikes up to 25 km/h and for fast e-bikes up to 45 km/h (up to a maximum total weight of 120 kg) for city, trekking, travel, and cargo use.

3. Can I also use it for a fast e-bike (speed pedelec)?
Yes, Safety Level 5 is approved for speed pedelecs (up to 45 km/h) but only up to a maximum total weight of 120 kg. Due to the enormous stress, we recommend choosing a seatpost with Safety Level 6 or 6+ from Ergotec.

4. Are there springs for other rider weights?
Yes, Ergotec offers suitable replacement springs for other weight classes. Feel free to contact us if you need a different setting.

5. Does the seatpost fit my bike?
The PM-705N is suitable for seat tube angles greater than 70° and seat struts with a diameter of 7 mm, which is the case for most bikes. Just choose the appropriate tube diameter (27.2 / 30.9 / 31.6 mm).
