The P5 is Cervélo's dedicated triathlon and time trial bike. No compromises, no all-round claims, a single goal: to get from A to B as fast as possible.
The aerodynamically optimized carbon frame is about one watt faster than its predecessor, and the tire clearance has been expanded to 34 mm, creating space for the Reserve 77|88TA wheels with DT Swiss hubs and Vittoria 29 mm tires. This wheel-tire combination saves about 4 watts in rolling resistance compared to the predecessor, resulting in a total savings of about 5 watts when combined with the frame. Shifting is wireless with SRAM Red AXS 12-Speed, and a Quarq power meter is integrated into the crankset. The new armrests are wider, higher, and thicker than before, providing more control and more time in the most aerodynamic position. The extensions can be adjusted from 0 to 30 degrees in 5-degree increments. The seat stays have been redesigned in a Fastback style and are about 22% vertically softer than before, without compromising lateral stiffness for power transfer. Integrated frame storage for nutrition and hydration is included as standard.
For triathletes and time trialists who train and compete at the level for which this bike was developed.
