The Chisel is the lightest and fastest fully suspended cross-country bike of all time. It is 18.4% lighter than its closest competitor and delivers noticeably intense performance. Thanks to the advanced kinematics and geometry of the Epic 8 combined with the innovative D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can excel on speed metal while racing or simply enjoy an incredibly good time on their home trails.
SPEED METAL: D’Aluisio Smartweld not only contributes to the Chisel's low weight but also to its unmatched handling and ride quality. Each aluminum tube is specifically shaped for its position in the frame and features varying wall thicknesses. This allows us to strategically manage stiffness and flex for efficiency, comfort, and control.
PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel, equipped with 110 mm of rear travel in the Ride Dynamics Tune, shares a lineage with the Epic 8, our racing machine for the World Cup. It shares performance features such as advanced kinematics, suspension with Ride Dynamics Tune, and the progressive geometry refined for World Cup conditions. The Chisel effortlessly conquers diverse terrain and instills confidence in riders so they can stand out.
POWER METAL: The Chisel surprises with incredible pedaling efficiency thanks to the geometry and kinematics derived from our World Cup-winning Epic 8. This makes it the most efficient fully suspended aluminum XC bike. The steep seat angle positions riders centrally on the bike for optimal power transfer, while the perfected anti-squat minimizes pedal bob. The Chisel converts every watt at the pedals into maximum acceleration.
MORE GROOVE METAL: We have equipped the Chisel with flexible stays for maximum suspension performance. This, along with the D’Aluisio Smartweld design that reduces weight, significantly cuts down maintenance for the rear end. Extensive field and lab tests have demonstrated that the Chisel achieves the impossible. While flex stays were largely reserved for carbon bikes, the Chisel, with its specially formed aluminum, easily competes in terms of efficiency, control, and low weight.
NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel features a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the pivot point of the rocker, the main pivot, and, innovatively, the bottom bracket shell. This saves additional material and weight compared to traditional bikes where pivot points and bottom brackets are welded onto the seat tube.
