The Chisel is the lightest and fastest full-suspension cross-country bike ever made. It is 18.4% lighter than its nearest competitor and delivers noticeably fierce performance. Thanks to the advanced kinematics and geometry of the Epic 8, combined with the innovative D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can excel on speed metal during races or simply enjoy an incredibly good time on their home trails.
SPEED METAL: D’Aluisio Smartweld not only contributes to the Chisel's low weight but also enhances its unmatched handling and ride quality. Each aluminum tube is specifically shaped for its position in the frame and features varying wall thicknesses. This allows us to strategically use stiffness and compliance for efficiency, comfort, and control.
PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel, featuring 110 mm of rear wheel travel in Ride Dynamics Tune, is closely related to the Epic 8, our racing machine for the World Cup. It shares performance features such as advanced kinematics, suspension with Ride Dynamics Tune, and the progressive geometry honed for the World Cup. The Chisel navigates diverse terrains effortlessly, instilling confidence so riders can perform at their best.
POWER METAL: Thanks to the geometry and kinematics from our World Cup-winning Epic 8, the Chisel offers incredible pedaling efficiency, making it the most efficient full-suspension XC bike made of aluminum. The steep seat angle positions riders centrally for optimal power transfer, while the perfected anti-squat reduces pedal feedback. The Chisel converts every watt at the pedals into maximum acceleration.
MORE GROOVE METAL: We have equipped the Chisel with flexible stays to maximize suspension performance. This, along with the D’Aluisio Smartweld design, significantly reduces the rear-end maintenance requirements. Extensive field and lab tests have demonstrated that the Chisel achieves the impossible. While flexible stays have primarily been associated with carbon bikes, the Chisel, with its specially shaped aluminum, holds its own in terms of efficiency, control, and weight.
NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel features a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the pivot point of the rocker link, the main pivot, and the bottom bracket shell innovatively. This design saves additional material and weight compared to traditional bikes, where pivot points and bottom brackets are welded onto the seat tube.
