We started by installing a Shimano XT 12-speed transmission, as its wide gear range and outstanding precision typical of the brand convinced us completely. Also from Shimano are the hydraulic XT disc brakes that reliably slow down and stop the bike - in all weather conditions, whether off-road or in the city. The finishing touch is provided by a RockShox Judy Silver air suspension fork with remote lockout, which is not only easy to adjust but also adeptly absorbs all bumps and unevenness on the track.
