With the Vala 2026, Santa Cruz launches its first e-bike with Bosch drive, featuring a completely new suspension concept. Those looking for a fully-fledged, powerful e-mountain bike for demanding trails, positioned between the big ones and the lightweight SL e-bikes, will find a perfectly balanced middle ground in the Vala. The Carbon C frame introduces a four-link suspension (Horst-Link) with MX wheels for the first time at Santa Cruz. A FOX 38 Float Performance fork provides 160 mm of travel in the front, while a FOX Float X Performance shock offers 150 mm in the rear. The Vala is powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX motor (Generation 5) with 85 Nm of torque and up to 600 watts of peak power, supplied by a permanently integrated 600 Wh battery, which can be expanded to 850 Wh with the Bosch PowerMore Range Extender. The SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type transmission shifts mechanically and reliably.
