A really good all-mountain bike excels in three main areas. First: low weight. Second: speed. This is enabled on one hand by the powerful Bosch SX motor and on the other hand by the Sram 12-speed XX Eagle transmission, which translates the power through the Newmen Phase 30 wheels with Continental Kryptotal and Xynotal 2.4-inch tires onto the trail excellently. Braking is done safely and controlled when needed with the hydraulic Maven Ultimate disc brakes from Sram. Of course, a dropper seat post is also included. Last but not least, a smoothly working suspension is essential – here we opted for a 36 Float Factory fork and a Float X Factory shock from Fox for top-notch traction and control.
