It's become standard that if I hit a somewhat violent bump, the bottles literally fly away. This always happens on the road bike at high speeds. On the gravel bike, it's better, and the problem is less frequent, but only because the speeds are lower. I use Elite Fly bottles, and they are not at all a snug fit on the bike. Better to go for bottle holders with a classic shape. Moreover, the plastic in the mounting area (which is the same as the rest of the bottle holder) is so soft that if you tighten the screws a little too much, it gets irreparably damaged. In short, it's not a well-made product.
